GamFratesi has designed a luminaire for Louis Poulsen. "Yuh" is a tribute to the two great lighting designers of Denmark: Arne Jacobsen and Poul Henningsen.
Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi aka GamFratesi have designed a luminaire for Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen. The "Yuh" series includes a table, floor and wall lamp, is available in white or black and produces glare-free, downward light. The lampshade can be rotated, tilted and is height-adjustable. "The biggest challenge was to design 'Yuh' so that you can move it in different directions. We worked with three types of movement in the axis: Tilt, rotation and height adjustment," explains Enrico Fratesi. Incidentally, the designers found the inspiration for their new lamp in designs by the designers who made Louis Poulsen famous as a lighting manufacturer: Arne Jacobsen and Poul Henningsen. "Yuh" was first presented at the Salone del Mobile in 2017 and will be available in stores from September.
"Yuh" by GamFratesi for Louis Poulsen; the design language is reminiscent of Arne Jacobsen's "AJ", the illuminant is not visible - as with luminaires by Poul Henningsen.
