Smart building communication
While many manufacturers are focusing on smart home devices that are installed almost disappearing on the wall, Siedle is setting a counterpoint with this. Axiom is a panel that is particularly surprising as a tabletop version. Designer Eric Degenhardt has designed the device to look like an elegant and minimally designed version of a desk telephone. But it can do more. It bundles analog and digital technologies. Axiom is an indoor station, telephone and control panel and thus rethinks communication in the home: You can sit down and then celebrate the control of the home at the highest aesthetic and technical level.
The sculptural design was consistently developed for free-standing installation: Slightly slanted sides and the finely designed conical base give the device a light character from all angles. The integrated shelf is not only practical for smartphone or writing utensils, it also brings additional stability, so that when operating the touch display, the device always stands securely. ks
