Dutch architect Wiel Arets has designed a corkscrew, a salt mill as well as a pepper mill for Italian design company Alessi - the design of the three pieces makes a beautiful team. The three parts vary in size and design of the handles, but speak a common design language. They are made of 18/10 stainless steel in combination with black or white melamine resin, the grinders are made of ceramic. This tactilely beautiful combination of materials and the unusual shape of the handles are what make these kitchen gadgets so appealing. In addition to an espresso pot, Arets has already developed the "Dot I" and "Dot II" baths for Alessi in collaboration with the Swiss bathroom manufacturer Laufen.
